The Aim of The Girls’ Brigade, being a Christian organisation, international and interdenominational, shall be:
To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.
We meet on Saturday afternoons and Monday evenings in Howth Road National School – situated beside Clontarf & Scots Church to which we are affiliated.
Our Programme covers a variety of activities including PE, Skipping, Choral Speaking, Féis, Movement to Music, Musical Theatre, Crafts, Badge Work and Spiritual Learning finishing each Session in April every year with a Display.
Within the Company, we have 5 (age) Sections who meet on different days:
EXPLORERS 2 – 8 yrs old Saturday from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm JUNIORS 9 – 11 yrs old Monday from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm SENIORS 12 – 13 yrs old Monday from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm BRIGADERS 14 – 17 yrs old Monday from 8.00 pm to 9.30 pm ASSOCIATES 18 yrs + Monday from 8.45 pm to 10.00 pm
