5th Company Girls’ Brigade (Clontarf & Scots Presbyterian)
Girls Brigade

The Aim of The Girls’ Brigade, being a Christian organisation, international and interdenominational, shall be:

To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.

Now in our 104th year, the 5th Company is part of a worldwide uniformed Youth Organisation.
We are, in fact, the oldest Company still in existence and with over 100 girls (of all ages) we continue also to be one of the biggest Companys in the Republic of Ireland.

We meet on Saturday afternoons and Monday evenings in Howth Road National School – situated beside Clontarf & Scots Church to which we are affiliated.

Our Programme covers a variety of activities including PE, Skipping, Choral Speaking, Féis, Movement to Music, Musical Theatre, Crafts, Badge Work and Spiritual Learning finishing each Session in April every year with a Display.

Within the Company, we have 5 (age) Sections who meet on different days:

EXPLORERS    2 – 8 yrs old Saturday from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm

JUNIORS 9 – 11 yrs old Monday from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm
